The Grand Bazaar is one of the oldest and largest bazaars in Istanbul. It was built in the 15th century and consists of 66 streets, 22 gates and about 4000 shops. The Grand Bazaar is famous as a shopping center where various products such as carpets, jewelry, spices, antiques and souvenirs are sold. The Grand Bazaar is also an important symbol in terms of Turkish culture and history.
